2025 Durban Music Fest: Rick Ross to Headline in a Grand Showcase
The long-awaited 2025 Durban Music Fest, organized by Blue Screen Entertainment, is set to take place on May 3, 2025. This highly anticipated event promises to be one of the biggest music spectacles of the year, headlined by none other than American hip-hop and rap mogul, Rick Ross.
Initially scheduled to be held at the HollywoodBets Kings Park Stadium, the event has now been relocated to the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium due to overwhelming demand and growing anticipation. The decision to move to a larger venue reflects the festival’s increasing popularity and the scale of the production that the organizers are planning.
The announcement was made during a media briefing held at Rockets in Umhlanga, north of Durban, on Thursday, February 13. Speaking at the event, Gregory Wings, founder of Blue Screen Entertainment, explained the rationale behind the venue change:
“There is a reason we moved the show from Kings Park to Moses Mabhida. One is just the sheer magnitude of the event. The show is going to be massive, and we want to give both the artists and the audience the grand stage they deserve. Durban is in for something truly spectacular.”
